The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convener, firmly rejected the possibility of making an alliance with the Congress for the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections which are slated to take place in February next year. Kejriwal announced this statement while addressing a press conference on Sunday, ”There will be no alliance in Delhi’’.
Even though AAP and Congress are part of the opposition INDIA bloc and have earlier contested the Lok Sabha elections in Delhi together this year, their partnership has yielded no success. The Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) bagged all the seats.
Attempts to form a seat-sharing deal between AAP and Congress didn’t turn out successful ahead of the Haryana Assembly elections which took place in October. Several rounds of negotiations also happened but it did not work out.
