Telangana Election 2023 Date: The Election Commission of India (ECI) announced the schedule for the assembly election in Telangana on Monday. The state, where the Bharatiya Rashtra Samithi (BRS) is currently in power, goes to polls on November 30.

Assembly polls in Telangana will be held in xxx phases. Polling of votes will take place on November 30 while counting of votes will be taken up on December 3, Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar said while addressing a joint press conference of the ECI at the Rang Bhawan Auditorium today. The poll schedule for Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Mizoram were also announced by the poll body. Telangana will be the last among the five states to go to polls, the schedule for which was announced today.

Date of issue of gazette notification: November 3

Last date for filing nomination: November 10

Date of scrutiny: November 13

Last date of withdrawal of nomination: November 15

Date of poll: November 30

Date of counting: December 3

Telangana will witness a triangular contest between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and the Congress in the upcoming Assembly elections.

In the 2018 Assembly elections, BRS won 88 seats out of 119 seats and had a dominant vote share of 47.4 per cent. Whereas, Congress came at a distant second with 19 seats with a vote share of 28.7 per cent.
