Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday hit out at Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar-led BRS government in Telangana, alleging that it is a corrupt government. He added that the BRS has failed to achieve any significant progress for the state over the past 10 years, reported PTI.

In a press conference on Saturday, Shah said, “Today, youth, farmers, dalits, and backwards are totally disappointed. Telangana people believe that BRS did nothing else but corruption.”

He further stated that the state which was once revenue surplus is now burdened with debts amounting to lakhs of crores of rupees.

Appealing to voters to consider the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Shah said that the union government-led Prime Minister Narendra Modi has successfully delivered on its promises, including the construction of the Ram Temple, the abrogation of Article 370, and the abolishment of triple talaq.

Shah urged voters to carefully assess the performance of each party, stating, “Your (people of Telangana) vote will not just decide the fate of an MLA or a government, but the future of Telangana and the country. I appeal to you to vote only after analysing the performance of each and every party. I am confident that you will vote for PM Modi-led BJP once you do an analysis of all parties.”

The senior BJP leader assured that, if the BJP comes to power in Telangana, corruption allegations will be thoroughly investigated, and those found responsible will be sent to jail.
