Aam Aadmi Party MP and former chief of the Delhi Commission for Women Swati Maliwal on Monday alleged that she was assaulted at Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s Civil Lines residence and dialled the Police Control Room twice regarding the allegation, the Delhi Police said.

“Swati Maliwal called the PCR at 9.34 am stating that she has been attacked at CM House. She came to the Civil Lines Police Station and left without giving a complaint. She said she would file a complaint later,” DCP (North) Manoj Meena said.

The Delhi Police further said that Maliwal’s cell phone remains unavailable and she could not be contacted. Maliwal’s cell phone was unreachable at the time of filing this report.

As per the Delhi Police, two daily diary entries were made regarding the PCR call on Monday. WHile the first entry says Maliwal named two people in connection with the assault, the second stated a woman caller as saying that she was assaulted by the Chief Minister’s PA Bibhav Kumar at the CM’s behest when she visited his residence to meet him.

While the Aam Aadmi Party is yet to issue an official response on the matter, The Indian Express quoted AAP sources as saying that Maliwal visited the CM’s residence at around 9 AM on Monday to meet Kejriwal.

“She was asked to wait. After some time, an altercation ensued and she called the PCR,” IE quoted an AAP leader as saying.
