The world’s most formidable supersonic cruise missile system, BRAHMOS was successfully integrated with  Su-30MKI frontline strike fighter of the Indian Air Force (IAF) on Friday, reported ANI.

The integration of the supersonic missile took place at Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) in Nashik .

The gleaming example of Russia-India friendship has established its predominance in supersonic missile technology and yielded results before.

Officials said that the air-launched flight test programme was a major achievement for BRAHMOS.

“The flight trial has been keenly observed by several other nations in the world in possession of the Su-30 strike fighter who are looking towards acquiring a lethal weapon system for the Russian-made warplanes,” says a BRAHMOS official to ANI.

This integration brings the powerful missile one step closer to the final test-firing from Sukhoi-30 providing the IAF with the capability to attack targets in robust defence platforms. The Su-30-BRAHMOS integration will also make IAF the only Air Force in the world with a supersonic cruise missile system.
