SIR enumeration form, which is a part of the larger Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral rolls being undertaken by the election commission of India is now available online. Unlike the offline process, the online SIR system is entirely managed by the ECI.
To access the form, citizens would be required to navigate to the “Services” section of the ECI portal and select the clearly marked “Fill Enumeration Form” option to complete the necessary documentation for the electoral roll revision online to start their registration process. Electors will not be required to download a form.
Following the completion of Bihar elections, the election commission of India (ECI) is currently conducting Phase 2 of the Special Intensive Revision, which includes house-to-house enumeration from November 4 to December 4, 2025.
This phase encompasses 12 States and Union Territories: Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Goa, Puducherry, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, and Lakshadweep.
Citizens can also opt to fill the enumeration form directly via the ECINET application which is available on both IOS and android systems.
In case you don’t find your correct legal name on the revised list or your form submission status is reflected as pending for too long, you can head out to the ECI’s grievance redressal terminal to resolve your query. Steps for successfully filling the SIR enumeration form and checking your status online have been listed below.
How to fill and submit SIR enumeration form online?
Step 1 Go to voters.eci.gov.in
Step 2 Click on “Fill Enumeration Form”
Step 3 Enter mobile/EPIC number
Step 4 Select your state and enter EPIC number
Step 5 Your electoral data will be shown, check it
Step 6 Before filing the enumeration forms, the EPIC has to be linked to your mobile number.
Step 7 If it was not linked already, it can be done instantly by submitting Form-8 (For mobile number linking with EPIC: click “Correction of Entries in Existing Electoral Roll”, then “Mobile Number” option ONLY under Form-8).
Step 8 Once EPIC is linked with the mobile number, the applicant has to log in again.
Step 9 Fill up the enumeration form, including the last SIR information.
Step 10 Submit through Aadhaar-based e-sign.
Step 11 Current name as per EPIC and Aadhaar data to be matched for e-sign and submission of enumeration forms.
How to check SIR upload Form submission status online?
Step 1 Go to voters.eci.gov.in
Step 2 Select ‘Fill Enumeration Form’.
Step 3 Click ‘Sign Up’, then enter your mobile number, optional email ID, and the captcha to complete the registration.
Step 4 Select ‘Login’, enter your mobile number and the captcha, and then select ‘Request OTP’.
Step 5 Enter the OTP to log in.
Step 6 Enter your EPIC (Voter-ID) number and click Search.
Step 7 Click ‘Search’. The status of your form will appear instantly.
Step 8 If your form is uploaded, you will see a message saying: “Your form has already been submitted with mobile number XXXXX…”
Step 9 If you don’t see that message (or the form appears blank), it means the form hasn’t been uploaded, you may need to re-submit or contact the BLO assigned to your locality.
