Ram Lalla first darshan after Pran Pratishtha: Prime Minister Narendra Modi performed all key rituals as part of Ram Lalla’s pran pratishtha ceremony at the Shri Ram Janmaboomi Temple in Uttar Pradesh’s Ayodhya on Monday. PM Modi led the consecration ceremony with chants of ‘Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram’ filling the air. The pran pratishtha ceremony was completed in the ‘abhijeet muhurat’ of 84 seconds as the priests chanted the vedic mantras.

What happened during the pran pratishtha ceremony?

Adorning gold and yellow dhoti, Ram Lalla is now virajmaan at the Ayodhya temple. PM Modi performed the main pooja during the mool muhurat.

For the special puja, PM Modi was dressed in cream dhoti with matching patka and golden kurta. The prime minister was the pramukh yajman of the consecration ceremony. Apart from him, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, UP Governor Anandiben Patel were also present during the ceremony. After reaching the Ram Mandir, Pm Modi took ‘sankalp’ for the consecration ceremony and later moved to the garbha griha for the rituals.

After conclusion of the consecration ceremony, pramukh yajman Modi gave dakshina to the chief priest of the Ram Mandir. Ram Lalla can be seen with bow and arrow made of gold. Ram Lalla’s forehead is adorned with distinctive silver and red ‘Thenkalai Namam’. The idol is wearing gold, ruby and emeralds. PM Modi was seen doing a ‘dandvat pranam’ to Ram Lalla after the consecration ceremony.
