Rajasthan Cabinet Ministers portfolios: After the result of the Rajasthan elections was declared on December 3, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has emerged as the winner defeating the Congress. Bhajanlal Sharma was announced as the Chief Minister, and there are two deputy Chief Ministers – Diya Kumari and Prem Chand Bairwa.

The portfolios were allocated to the state’s newly-formed council of ministers on Friday (January 4) after Governor Kalraj Mishra gave his approval. While the CM has kept eight portfolios with himself, Kumari has been allocated six portfolios, while Bairwa has four departments to himself. CM Sharma kept the Home portfolio, along with several important departments such as Excise, Information and Public Relations as well as Anti-Corruption Bureau.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) claimed victory in Rajasthan by winning 115 while the party’s rival Congress bagged only 69 seats. Polling was held on 199 of the 200 assembly seats in the state on November 25. Bhajanlal Sharma emerged victorious in the Sanganer Assembly seat securing 1,45,162 votes and defeating Pushpendra Bhardwaj of Congress by a margin of 97,081.
