Sachin Pilot, Rajasthan’s ex-deputy Chief Minister, filed his nomination papers for the state Assembly Election from Tonk on Tuesday. The affidavit submitted by Pilot revealed that he has divorced Sara Abdullah. Pilot’s ex-wife is daughter of Farooq Abdullah. It should be noted that back in 2018, Pilot had mentioned Sara Abdullah along with her property details in his poll affidavit. However, in a 2023 affidavit, Pilot disclosed that he is a divorcee.
Back in 2014, there were reports that piolet vand abdullah are getting separated. However, the couple didn’t make any statement. Sachin and Sara have two boys, Aran and Vihaan, whom Sachin Pilot listed in his declaration as dependents.
Pilot prayed at the Bhuteshwar Mahadev temple before filing his nomination papers. Later, he led a march of supporters from Bada Kuan to Patel Chowk in Tonk City.
As per the schedule released by the Election Commission of India (ECI), Rajasthan will be undergoing for 200 assembly seats on November 25 and the result will be announced on December 3. In the 2018 Rajasthan elections, the Congress party won 99 seats in the 200-member Rajasthan Assembly. They staked their claim to form the government with its ally, the Rashtriya Lok Dal, which won one seat. Only 73 seats were won by the BJP.
