Two students, in a private school in Hisar, stabbed the principal to death on Thursday. As per police reports, he had asked the students to get a haircut and tuck in their shirt. There were multiple stab wounds and excessive bleeding. Despite of being rushed to a private hospital, doctors declared him dead on arrival.

The accused, reportedly, had a record of warnings against indiscipline. Hansi Superintendent of Police Amit Yashvardhan said, “The students were asked to get their hair trimmed and tuck in their shirts. The exact reason behind the incident will be known once we apprehend them”. However, the police said that, “a postmortem of the body will confirm all details. They may be influenced by a gang.”

The police also revealed that the students approached the principal in the office and requested him to step outside. This came after they had just appeared for a unit test. Leading him to a known location with no CCTV camera coverage, one of the allegedly accused pulled out a knife and stabbed the principal repeatedly.

The knife had recovered from the spot; however, the students are still absconding, said the SP. A forensic team was prompt to respond, and evidence was collected from the scene where the crime took place.

“CCTV footage is being scanned while the other students and teachers are being questioned. Four teams have been formed to trace and nab the students,” the SP added. As per PTI reports, the police claimed that the students appeared to be agitated and angry over being reprimanded for discipline. As per the CCTV footage from other angles, the students were seen fleeing the school property.
