Bihar Assembly Election 2025: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday praised Bihar’s transformation under Nitish Kumar’s leadership, stating that the end of the “Jungle Raj” marked a new chapter of progress. He highlighted that the era of broken highways, poor railways, and limited air connectivity is now history. Modi emphasised the development of a robust infrastructure network, including a web of four-lane highways and bridges across major rivers, signifying Bihar’s accelerated growth and integration into India’s broader development journey.

Fulfilled promise to Bihar

PM Modi linked the operation to a promise he had made on Bihari soil after the Pahalgam terror attack, which killed several Indian citizens. “After that attack, I came to Bihar and vowed that the masterminds behind the terror would be punished. Today, I return having fulfilled that promise,” he said.

Invoking the values of Lord Ram, Modi stated, “The people of Sasaram understand the custom of ‘Pran Jaye Par Vachan Na Jaye’—life may go, but not one’s word. I stand here with my promise delivered.”

Modi also highlighted the role of women in the country’s defence efforts, stating that the world has seen the courage of India’s daughters during Operation Sindoor. “Pakistan and the world have witnessed their strength. Our daughters are defending the motherland with unmatched valour.”

He hailed the success of Operation Sindoor, describing it as a powerful display of the strength and resolve of India’s armed forces—particularly highlighting the courage of the nation’s daughters. He asserted that the operation was merely a glimpse of India’s capabilities, and reiterated that the country remains firmly committed to eradicating terrorism at its roots.

PM Modi underlined that the battle against terror is far from over, stating that Indian forces will continue to act with full force whenever necessary. “Operation Sindoor has shown the world our resolve. This is just a trailer—our fight against terrorism will continue with full intensity,” he said.

“Just one arrow in our quiver”

Referring to the recent counter-terror operation, Modi warned that if the threat of terrorism rises again, India will strike harder. “The enemy has seen the power of Operation Sindoor. They should understand this is just one arrow in our quiver,” he declared.  He also paid tribute to BSF Sub-Inspector Imtiaz, who laid down his life during the operation, calling him a proud son of Bihar.

Development projects worth R 48,520 crore

Alongside national security, PM Modi also focused on development, launching and laying foundation stones for projects worth over Rs 48,520 crore. These initiatives span infrastructure, transportation, and economic growth for the state of Bihar.
