The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has attacked Congress and other opposition parties after abuses were hurled at Prime Minister Narendra Modi during an event of the ‘voter adhikar‘ rally of the mahagathbandhan. The incident went viral on social media, where a man could be heard using a cuss word for the PM in Darbhanga. Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, who is leading the yatra, was not present when the incident happened.
However, the BJP has sought an apology from him as the rally had posters of Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav.
“The whole world respects PM Modi, and Rahul Gandhi is insulting him in this manner. Rahul Gandhi himself should come and apologise to the public,” senior BJP leader and Madhya Pradesh minister Vishwas Kailash Sarang said.
BJP gets fierce, slams opposition
Since the video of the incident has surfaced, the BJP has begun asking the leaders of opposition to apologise and has also taken a legal action.
“Lok Sabha LoP Rahul Gandhi is continuously using abusive comments against PM Modi and Union HM Amit Shah. Today, in Darbhanga, the way the mother of PM Narendra Modi was abused is very indecent. Today, we have come to the Gandhi Maidan police station and have given an application for taking legal action against Rahul Gandhi, in which an FIR has been registered in the Gandhi Maidan PS,” BJP leader Krishna Singh Kallu told ANI.

“We will not allow Rahul Gandhi’s program to take place in Patna. The people of Bihar will not allow it to happen…” he added.
Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said the usage of “indecent language against the late mother of the Honorable Prime Minister Modi Ji is extremely shameful and condemnable”.
“This language reflects the peak of hatred against Prime Minister Modi Ji by Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav, including the entire INDI alliance. This hateful remark, coming from the election platform of RJD-Congress, is an insult to every Indian in Bihar and across the country who regards their mother as equivalent to God,” he added.
Referring to Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin and Telangana CM Revanth Reddy, who has recently joined the yatra, the leader said that the opposition first promoted those who “insulted” Bihar, and now they are abusing the PM.
