Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to lay the foundation stones of various crucial development projects and engage with the local community during his one-day visit to Uttrakhand’s Kumaon region on Thursday.
During his visit, the Prime Minister will also have a darshan of Adi Kailash, offer his prayers at Jageshwar Dham and Parvati Kund, and visit Gunji village.
In a statement posted on X, Prime Minister Modi said, “Our government is committed to the welfare of each and every individual of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand and the state’s rapid development. To impart more speed to it, I will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of several projects in Pithoragarh.”

“I will also get the good opportunity to interact with the people of Gunji village. I also look forward to a darshan of the spiritually significant Parvati Kund and a puja at Jageshwar Dham during the tour,” he added.
Prime Minister Modi’s visit will be graced by the warm welcome of cultural troupes from the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand, who will line a renovated 6-kilometre road decorated with murals and paintings. This road will lead from the Naini Saini airport to the venue of a public meeting.
Prime Minister Modi’s visit commences with a visit to the Adi Kailash Peak, the sacred place of Lord Shiva, situated at Jolingkong. Subsequently, he will proceed to Gunji village to meet residents and security personnel, as detailed in the itinerary released by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).
The visit will conclude with the Prime Minister offering his prayers to Lord Shiva at Jageshwar Dham and addressing the public gathering in Pithoragarh.
