Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday visited Prayagraj to attend the Mahakumbh and took a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam, the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna and the Saraswati rivers. His visit coincides with the Ashtami Tithi during the ‘Magh’ month, a spiritually significant time for Hindu devotees.

PM Modi arrived in Prayagraj at 10:05 AM before traveling to the DPS Helipad. From there, reached Arail Ghat at 10:45 AM and took a boat to the Maha Kumbh site. During his hour-long visit, the Prime Minister will perform the ritual bath and offer prayers to the Ganga before returning to Prayagraj Airport. He is scheduled to depart the city at 12:30 PM aboard an Indian Air Force aircraft.

The visit has generated excitement among devotees attending the Maha Kumbh. Many believe that PM Modi’s efforts have helped Sanatan Dharma gain greater recognition, strengthening people’s faith and spiritual awareness.

This marks Modi’s second visit to Prayagraj in recent months. On December 13, he inaugurated 167 development projects worth Rs 5,500 crore to enhance connectivity and infrastructure in the region. His return to the Maha Kumbh reinforces his deep reverence for Sanatan Dharma, making the occasion a moment of pride for both Prayagraj residents and the wider Hindu community.
