UP International Trade Show 2024, Traffic Advisory: The Noida traffic police have issued a travel advisory to ensure smooth traffic flow during the five-day UP International Trade Show (UPITS 2024), held at the India Expo Centre and Mart in Greater Noida from September 25 to September 29. The advisory will be effective from September 24 until the event concludes on September 29.
Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar will inaugurate the event, which will see participation from numerous business delegates. The exhibition will be open to business professionals from 11 am to 3 pm, while the general public can attend from 3 pm to 10 pm.
Road closures and alternative routes
Several traffic restrictions will be enforced to manage the increased traffic during the trade show:
– Goods vehicles will be prohibited on the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway and nearby roads from 7 am to 11 pm
– Only essential goods vehicles, carrying items like milk, fruits, vegetables, and medical supplies, will be permitted
– No-entry signs will be displayed at key points to inform drivers of the restrictions
To manage the traffic flow, the police have designated several alternative routes:
- Vehicles from Chilla border can make a U-turn at Chilla Red Light and continue via NH-9, NH-24, NH-91 or the Eastern Peripheral Expressway
- Traffic from the DND border will be diverted at the DND Toll Plaza, enabling access to NH-91 and the Eastern Peripheral Expressway
- Kalindi border traffic will be redirected to the Eastern Peripheral Expressway and NH-91
- Vehicles traveling from the Jewar Toll on the Yamuna Expressway will be rerouted to Aligarh via a U-turn near the toll
- Traffic from Honda CL Chowk and Surajpur Ghanta Chowk will be diverted to the Eastern Peripheral Expressway via the Sirsa roundabout
Commuters are advised to plan their journeys in advance and use the alternative routes provided to avoid delays.
