Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Jayanti 2024: Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose’s birth anniversary is observed on January 23. The annual observance honors and commemorates the strength of Netaji as one of India’s foremost freedom fighters. This day serves as a tribute to the birth of India’s renowned revolutionary and visionary freedom fighter, who dedicated his life to the cause of independence and the dignity of his nation.

‘Parakram Diwas’ festivities are scheduled at the Red Fort today, January 23, to commemorate the birth anniversary of Subhas Chandra Bose. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to participate in the ‘Parakram Diwas’ festivities.

As per the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), Modi will inaugurate ‘Bharat Parv,’ slated to occur from January 23 to January 31. This event aims to showcase the diverse culture of the country through Republic Day tableaux and cultural exhibits. These presentations will spotlight initiatives from 26 ministries and departments, emphasizing citizen-centric programs, the “vocal for local” movement, and various tourist attractions. The venue for these activities is the Ram Leela Maidan and the Madhav Das Park in proximity to the Red Fort, according to the PMO.

This year’s program promises to be a comprehensive celebration, seamlessly blending historical reflections and vibrant cultural expressions, the PMO explained. The activities are designed to delve into the profound legacy of Netaji, as Subhas Chandra Bose was affectionately known, and the Azad Hind Fauj, as highlighted by the PMO. Visitors will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in an interactive experience, exploring exhibitions featuring archives, rare photographs, and documents chronicling the remarkable journey of Netaji and the Azad Hind Fauj.

The PMO underscored that the celebration of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose’s birth anniversary as Parakram Diwas was initiated in 2021, aligning with the Prime Minister’s vision to honor the contributions of luminaries who played pivotal roles in the freedom struggle.
