Heavy rain drenched the national capital today, leading to waterlogging in several areas and providing relief from the hot weather. According to the latest weather bulletin from the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), heavy rainfall is expected over Southwest India, East India, and across the Northeast in the next four days. It has also observed a presence of cyclonic circulation over East Bihar and Northeast Assam.

Delhi-NCR Weather Forecast:

The national capital witnessed a pleasant morning today as heavy rain lashed several parts of Delhi. The IMD has forecast a generally cloudy sky with light rain. Waterlogging was reported in several parts of Delhi resulting in heavy traffic.

Moderate Rainfall Alert:

The MET Department has expected that there will be moderate rainfall with thunderstorms in Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, Maharashtra, Kerala, Mahe, Lakshadweep, and Karnataka. Similar weather conditions will be experienced at Marathwada, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, Yanam, Karaikal, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and Puducherry for the next couple of days.

IMD’s Warning for Heavy Rainfall:

Heavy downpour is anticipated in Gujarat, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Konkan, Karnataka, Goa, Kutch and Saurashtra from June 13 to June 16. Kerala and Coastal and South Interior Karnataka will get it in the same period.

Heavy rainfall is expected in Northeast India and East India

The Weather Department has also notified that there will be heavy rainfall in Meghalaya, Assam, and Odisha from June 13 to June 16. Bihar, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal are likely to get it on June 14. Jharkhand and Andaman and Nicobar Islands might receive heavy rainfall on June 13 and June 14. Isolated heavy rainfall will take place in East Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand from June 13 to June 16.

A moderate downpour accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning is likely to occur in Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Uttarakhand, and Madhya Pradesh. Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh will get an average rainfall for today. For the next four days, similar weather patterns have been marked for East Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Ladakh, Jammu-Kashmir, Muzaffarabad, Gilgit and Baltistan.
