Madhya Pradesh Assembly Elections 2023 latest news: Madhya Pradesh will hold Assembly election along with four other states later this year. The Congress had formed the state government in 2018 led by Kamal Nath. But due to all the in-fighting and rebellion, the Congress went out of power with Shivraj Singh Chouhan becoming the CM in 2020.
The BJP will seek to win the state’s Assembly elections in 2023 with an absolute majority in order to maintain the benefits it earned from Scindia’s breakaway from the Congress. The date for the assembly elections are announced and it will happen on November 17, 2023.
According to the ECI, a person must be an Indian citizen who was 18 years old on the qualifying date, which is January 1 of the year of the revision of the electoral roll, a resident of the polling place of the constituency where they wish to be enrolled, and they must not be disqualified in order to be enrolled as an elector. Once you are eligible, register to vote by following the instructions provided:
- Obtain Form 6, which is used to register voters in India.
- Fill out the form completely, including your name, address, and contact information.
- Attach legitimate identification and residency proof documents, such as an Aadhar card, a passport, etc.
- Send the completed form and supporting documentation to your neighbourhood Voter Registration Centre (VRC) or Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) office.
- The form and documentation are examined by the election officials for accuracy.
- To verify information, a field verification officer may go to the specified address.
- Publication of the draught electoral roll enables citizens to confirm the accuracy of their names.
- During the allotted time, make claims or objections to correct mistakes.
- After all claims and protests have been addressed, the final electoral roll is issued.
- A Voter ID card, which serves as identification while voting, is given to first-time voters.
- Present the Voter ID card when voting in the assembly on the given election day.
