Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, the Congress party on Wednesday initiated an inclusive approach, inviting people from across the country for suggestions for the grand old party’s manifesto, terming it the ‘people’s manifesto’. The party has introduced a website and email ID to gather public suggestions.
During a press conference at the AICC headquarters in New Delhi, P Chidambaram, leading the manifesto committee of the Congress, announced that the party is actively engaging in consultations and seeking input from the public for the manifesto.

“The present exercise is to receive suggestions from members of the public. This will be a people’s manifesto. Therefore, it is crucial to gather as many suggestions as possible in the few weeks available to us,” Chidambaram stated.
“We want to involve the people of India in creating the manifesto. We hope people from every walk of life will contribute their suggestions. We appeal and invite you to provide suggestions you would like to see incorporated into the manifesto to make it a people’s manifesto,” he added, according to PTI.

Chidambaram stressed the importance of collecting diverse inputs. The party plans to conduct consultations in every state, with some states potentially hosting multiple sessions.
Responding to queries about INDIA bloc allies, Chidambaram welcomed their participation in consultations, leaving the decision on higher-level discussions to the Congress president.
Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinate provided details on how suggestions can be submitted through the website awaazbharatki dot in or by emailing awaazbharatki at inc dot in.
TS Singh Deo, convenor of the manifesto committee, said the party was seeking inputs from stakeholders to ensure the manifesto truly reflects the voice of the people. The party aims to gather suggestions in the coming weeks, shaping a comprehensive manifesto for the upcoming polls.
