Kerala LDF, UDF, NDA Election Result 2025: The results of 2025 local body elections in Kerala will be declared on Saturday as the state election commission has taken up counting of ballots polled in two phases — December 9 and 11. The counting began at 8 am, and the results will decided where the political wind is swaying in the state, which will go to polls the next year.

The mid-term elections will give a picture of whether the governing CPI(M)-led the LDF maintains the lead or Congress-led UDF or BJP-led NDA make significant gains on the ground.
On Thursday, State Election Commissioner A Shahjahan had said the local body polls this year witnessed the highest turnout since 1995 when the first civic elections were held in Kerala. The turnout in the second phase of polling was 76.08 per cent and in the first phase of polling, the turnout was 70.91 per cent, bringing the total polling in the local body elections to 73.69 per cent.
What results looked like in 2020?
In the 2020 Kerala local body elections, the Left Democratic Front (LDF) secured a strong victory and maintained control across most local bodies. The voter turnout that year was 76.2%, which was a slight drop of 1.5% from 2015. The LDF received 40.2% of the votes, an increase of 2.8%, and won 514 grama panchayats, 108 block panchayats, 11 district panchayats, 35 municipalities and 5 corporations.
The United Democratic Front (UDF) got 37.9% of the votes, a dip of 0.7%, and won 321 grama panchayats, 38 block panchayats, 1 district panchayat, 23 municipalities and 1 corporation. The NDA secured a 15% vote share, which was an increase of 1.7%, and won 19 grama panchayats along with a few smaller gains in other areas.
