India attacks Pakistan terror camps Live Updates: Minutes after India launched ‘Operation Sindoor‘, reactions from leaders in the country and all over the world have started pouring in. The Indian Army, in a post on X, said, “Justice is served”. Minutes later, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and other politicians including Smriti Irani, Rahul Gandhi, Amit Shah, S Jaishankar, Yogi Adityanath, Piyush Goyal as well as leaders from Opposition parties took to social media to laud the Indian Army.

Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh posted “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” on X, while Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath wrote, “Jai Hind, Jai Hind Ki Sena.”

From the international platforms, US President Donald Trump was the first one to react to India’s Operation Sindoor. He said that he hoped for this to end “very quickly”. The 78-year-old leader’s comment came shortly after India’s defence ministry confirmed it had hit nine locations in Pakistan following the deadly terror attack in Pahalgam.

Meanwhile, China has called the Indian strikes regrettable, however, it states the country does not support terror.

Operation Sindoor LIVE reactions: 'Clear case of response to aggression by Pakistan'

Former Indian envoy to Pakistan G Parthasarthy said on Wednesday that it was only natural for India to have reacted the way it did through Operation Sindoor. He noted how India's military action was "not a large-scale invasion," did not use land forces and relied on measured airstrikes on "places which terrorist havens."

Also admitting that the battle against Pakistan has for long been all about fighting against terrorism, he added, "When terrorists from Pakistan kill tourists, Indian tourists in the heights of the Himalayas, government has to respond and respond it has done. So, this is clearly a case of a response to aggression by Pakistan and that is only natural."

Although Parthasarthy predicted that Pakistan will soon have a response of their own, he also acknowledged that Indian resorted to military action because our territory was violated due to Pahalgam terror attacks. Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said that Operation Sindoor was a "befitting reply" to the Pahalgam terror attack that claimed the lives of 26 innocent civilians.

"This was the right method to reply...only terror sites in Pakistan were hit not military area or civilians...But, Pakistan has bombed some of the areas, our civilians were targeted in it," he told ANI. "They started it, not us...we were living peacefully...we did not start this...none of us want war...we want the situation to improve again, but first Pakistan needs to lower their guns..."
