The swearing-in ceremony for Haryana’s new BJP government will take place on October 17 in Panchkula, as confirmed by the party on Saturday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with senior BJP leaders and chief ministers from other states, is expected to attend the event.

Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar announced, “We have received the nod from the Prime Minister. The oath-taking ceremony for the chief minister and his council of ministers will be held at the Dusshera ground in Panchkula Sector 5 at 10 am.”

Following a successful assembly election, where the BJP secured its best-ever tally of 48 seats—11 more than the Congress—Nayab Singh Saini is anticipated to be the party’s choice for chief minister.

The results saw the JJP and AAP struggle significantly, while the INLD managed to win just two seats. Three Independent MLAs, including India’s richest woman Savitri Jindal, have also announced their support to the BJP.
