The Gurgaon seat, which was once a traditional stronghold of Congress, saw the BJP emerging victorious in the last two Assembly elections – 2014 and 2019. The seat was held by BJP’s Sudhir Singla in 2019.
BJP, this time around, chose to nominate Mukesh Sharma from the Gurgaon Assembly constituency.
