Maharashtra’s caretaker Chief Minister, Eknath Shinde, was admitted to Jupiter Hospital in Thane on Tuesday (December 3) as his health condition remains concerning. Sources indicate that doctors have recommended a thorough examination of his health.
“Maharashtra caretaker CM Eknath Shinde taken to private hospital in Thane city for check-up,” hospital sources were quoted as saying by PTI.
He (Eknath Shinde) was ill during elections too; however, he campaigned with full strength. He had gone to his village, however, his health deteriorated. He returned to Thane where doctors conducted various tests. Test reports may have shown something and that is why he has been admitted to Jupiter Hospital,” said Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Shirsat.
Eknath Shinde, leader of the Shiv Sena faction and a key member of the BJP-led Mahayuti coalition, has been unwell for several days and has been resting at his private residence. Last Friday, his decision to visit his village, Dare, in Satara district fueled rumors about his dissatisfaction with the formation of the new Mahayuti government.
However, his close aides clarified that his health issues were due to exhaustion from the recent election campaign for the Maharashtra assembly polls.
