Mild tremors were felt in parts of Delhi-NCR as n earthquake of magnitude 5.8 on the Richter scale hit Pakistan on Wednesday afternoon.

The earthquake struck at around 12.58 pm at a depth of 33 km, according to the National Center of Seismology.

In a post on X, the NCS stated, “EQ of M: 5.8, On: 11/09/2024 12:58:03 IST, Lat: 31.25 N, Long: 70.52 E, Depth: 33 Km, Location: Pakistan.”

Mild tremors were felt in Delhi, Noida as well as parts of Punjab as the earthquake jolted Pakistan. Netizens claimed that they felt tremors in Peshawar, Islamabad and Lahore in Pakistan, and New Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir in India.

No reports of damage or casualties have been received so far.
