Delhi commuters encountered significant challenges on Monday (July 15) morning as they navigated waterlogged streets following heavy rainfall across parts of the city.
The Delhi Police responded by issuing a traffic advisory in light of waterlogging reported at Chaudhary Fateh Singh Marg.

Commuters were urged to take alternative routes, specifically diverting from Mall Road signal to Burari via Khyber Pass, Majnu ka Tila, and Wazirabad flyover to avoid the affected area, currently under construction.
“Traffic is affected in both the carriageways of New Rohtak road due to waterlogging at Anand Parbat near Gali No 10,” noted the Delhi Traffic Police in a social media post.
In another tweet Delhi traffic police said, “Due to water logging on Anand Parvat (New Rohtak Road), traffic diversions are effective. Kindly follow the advisory.”
Commuters expressed difficulties in navigating heavy traffic from Punjabi Bagh towards Dhaula Kuan, National Highway 8, and near Jhandewalan Metro Station, causing delays in reaching their destinations.

Parts of the city experienced rain this morning, accompanied by a minimum temperature of 29 degrees Celsius, which is 1.8 degrees above the seasonal average. The relative humidity was measured at 76 percent at 8:30 am. The previous day, Sunday, saw a maximum temperature of 37.1 degrees Celsius, which was two degrees higher than the seasonal average.
