A wanted ISIS terrorist Rizwan Ali has been detained by the Delhi Police Special Cell just a few days before Independence Day celebrations. He was arrested on August 8, 2024 around 11 pm near Ganga Baksh Marg, Delhi, following a tip from secret intelligence received by the police. A star pistol with a .30 bore, three live cartridges, and two mobile phones were seized from Ali. The Special Cell Police Station has also filed a case against him.

Who is Rizwan Ali, the ISIS terrorist?

The ISIS terrorist is a resident of Daryaganj, Delhi has a reward of Rs 3 lakh on his head because of his alleged links with terrorism activities. The bounty has been announced by the National Investigation Agency (NIA). It has been learned that he is a member of the ISIS Pune Module. He was absconding from the police just before his arrest.

The NIA has earlier also released his photograph along with other terrorists who are on the run due to multiple terrorist links. Rizwan presence just before Independence Day celebrations is enquired about.

Nationwide alert issued and security measures executed

The Delhi Police has strengthened the security measures across the national capital. Posters of several terrorists who have links with Khalistan and Al-Qaeda have been put on display. Citizens are encouraged to help in arresting them, by announcing rewards. However, Delhi Police has assured that the informer’s name will not be disclosed. Meanwhile, Punjab Police is also on high alert and is taking the required security measures. Search operations at the bus stop have also been going on in the state given Independence Day 2024.
