Delhi BMW Crash Case: Navjot Singh and his wife Sandeep had celebrated their 23rd wedding anniversary on September 1. “My parents were best friends first. They really enjoyed each other’s company,” Singh’s son Navnoor told the Times of India. Navjot was a senior finance ministry official who was recently killed in a road accident, near Dhaula Kuan, while his wife was left critically injured. The incident occurred when a BMW hit the couple travelling on the bike, which then hit the bus, resulting in the fatal crash.

Navnoor Singh, while speaking to TOI revealed that he had just begun his first job and was excited to celebrate his birthday on September 16 with his parents. With his very first salary, he had planned to gift his father a watch and his mother a pair of earrings. “I couldn’t wait to give it to them,” he said. But instead of planning a celebration, Navnoor found himself in a hospital lobby, mourning the sudden death of his father and praying for his mother’s recovery.
“They would go out on small dates every weekend. My father would take the car to work, but when it came to taking my mother out, he preferred the bike,” Navnoor told the Times of India.

Navnoor further revealed that his father was quite passionate about photography which is why he used to carry his professional camera with him. “He had an eye for detail. Even on trips, like when they went to Vietnam last year, he would document everything,” Navnoor said.
Navjot’s sister-in-law recalling his calibre revealed that he had represented India at the UN Peace Forum, IMF, and also in China. “He was doing so well for himself. He was such a sweet soul.. jolly, likeable and truly everyone’s favourite,” she told TOI.
