Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai Friday inaugurated a ‘Chintan Shivir’ (Ideation Camp) at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Raipur campus, with a view to develop the state and India.
The camp, which will go on for two days, will see participation from all ministers in the Chhattisgarh cabinet.
The CEO of NITI Aayog, B V R Subrahmanyam, delivered the first lecture, dedicated to “Viksit Chhattisgarh: a vision for 10 years”.
In his discussion, Subramanyam elaborated on the idea of ‘Viksit Bharat’ and its execution. He mentioned Prime Minister NArendra Modi’s role in making India “carve a niche for itself among the major economies of the world” in the last 10 years.
He also took note of Modi’s emphasis on ‘scale, speed and innovation’ to make India developed. Subrahmanyam said the world now focuses on the ‘Global South’. “Our country is ready to leapfrog in this direction as India’s demography, strategic position and solid reforms, in all important fields, are the advantages that will facilitate India. Whether it is digital economy or tax reforms or supporting innovation, India has been a leader in all these areas and we have to push these activities further in the future also. We must work in such a way so that ‘Viksit Bharat’ brings prosperity to all,” he said.
Along with Sai, the shivir was attended by agriculture minister Ramvichar Netam, forest minister Kedar Kashyap, food minister Dayaldas Baghel, health minister Shyam Bihari Jaysawal, industry minister Lakhan Lal Dewangan, finance minister O P Chaudhary, women and child development minister Lakshmi Rajwade, and sports minister Tankram Verma, sports minister.
