The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed a charge sheet against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and others in the excise policy case at Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court, a PTI report said.

Arvind Kejriwal, the Aam Aadmi Party national convener, was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate on March 21 in a money laundering case related to the alleged excise policy fraud. The Supreme Court granted him interim bail, but he is still in jail because the Central Bureau of Investigation arrested him in a similar case.

Arvind Kejriwal has previously been granted interim bail by the Supreme Court in a money laundering case filed by the ED.

The court found no substance in the State’s point that Arvind Kejriwal remains in judicial custody in the corruption case filed by the CBI, and nothing barred him from filing a similar application in that case or other cases pending against him in various states.
