Raipur Constituency Election Result 2023: BJP has defeated Congress from Chhattisgarh’s Raipur seat with a huge margin in almost all constituencies. The ECI has declared the results in Raipur’s seven constituencies which include Dharsiwa, Rapiur City (West), Raipur City (North), Raipur City (South), Raipur (Rural), Arang, and Abhanpur. The winners are as follows:
Raipur Rural – BJP’s Motilal Sahu won with a staggering 113032 votes on Raipur Rual defeating INC’s Pankaj Sharma. Sahu won with a margin of 35750 votes.
Raipur City South – BJP’s BrijMohan Agrawal won with 109263 votes and defeated IBC’s Dr Mahant Ramsundar Das in Raipur City South. Agrawal won with a margin of 67851 votes.
Raipur City West – BJP’s Rajesh Munat has won with a margin of 41229 votes defeating INC’s Vikas Upadhyay.
Arang – BJP’s Guru Khushwant Saheb has defeated INC’s Dr. Shivkumar Dahariya with a margin of 16538 votes.
Dharsiwa – BJP’s Anuj Sharma has defeated INC’s Chhaya Verma with a margin of 44343 votes.
Abhanpur – BJP’s Indra Kumar Sahu has defeated INC’s Dhanendra Sahu with a margin of 15553 votes.
In 2018, the BJP was able to manage victory only in Raipur City South. Rest all the six constituencies saw Congress bagging the seats. Brijmohan Agrawal, a prominent leader of the BJP and former minister, has maintained a stronghold in this constituency. Serving as a legislator for seven consecutive terms, he has remained undefeated in this seat since 1990. However, in the 2018 elections, the relatively low-profile Congress leader Kanhaiya Agrawal presented a formidable challenge, securing 60,093 votes compared to Brijmohan’s 77,589 votes.

According to the ECI website, counting has been compeleted in Raipur City West, Raipur Rural, and Arang. BJP has won Raipur City North and counting is underway in Dharsiwa.
BJP's Purandar Mishra has won from Raipur City North with a staggering 54279 votes, as per the official website of ECI. Congress' Kuldeep Singh Juneja lost with 31225 votes.
Brijmohan Agrawal is leading in Raipur City South with 72719 votes while Rajesh Munnat is leading with 77875 votes in Raipur City West, as per official website of ECI.

Raipur City West currently sees BJP's Rajesh Munnat leading with 62734 votes, as per latest ECI numbers.
Former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh on Sunday attributed the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) lead in the Assembly election trends to the people’s faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s works and guarantees. “The people of the state have shown faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s works and guarantees. The PM, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP president JP Nadda gave sufficient time (for electioneering) in Chhattisgarh,” Singh was quoted as saying by PTI.
“The people have shown faith in Modi’s guarantees and not Baghel’s promises, which is evident in the trends,” he added.

All the seats in Raipur are currently being ruled by BJO+P. These seats are Dharsiwa, Arang, Raipur City South, Raipur City North, Raipur City West, and Raipur Rural.
Raipur is still being majorly dominated by BJP as maximum seats here are being led by BJP leaders.
"We are in a good position as per the trends. When the final results are in, we will be getting a thumping majority in all the three states," says BJP MP Sudhanshu Trivedi as BJP leads in Chhattisgarh.
