Tata Motors Ltd on Friday posted a 133.32 per cent rise in net profit to Rs 7,100 crore in the December quarter. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 3,043 crore in the year-ago period, which was its first profit in two years. For the second consecutive day on Friday, the Jammu-Srinagar national highway, a crucial arterial route, remained shut due to landslides at multiple locations, as per officials. Efforts are underway to clear the debris and resume traffic on this vital road that links Kashmir to the rest of the country. Over 400 vehicles are stranded at various points along the highway.
