AIADMK ends ties with BJP after tumultuous relations

The All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) passed a unanimous resolution breaking all ties with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) from Monday. “The state leadership of the BJP has been continuously making unnecessary remarks about our former leaders, our general secretary EPS (K Palaniswami) and our cadres for the past year. In today’s meeting, this resolution was passed unanimously that AIADMK will break all ties with BJP and NDA alliance,” AIADMK leader KP Munuswamy said.

RBI imposes penalty on SBI, Indian Bank, Punjab & Sind Bank

The Reserve Bank announced on Monday that it has fined three state-owned banks, including SBI and Indian Bank, for breaking several regulatory requirements. The State Bank of India was penalized with a fine of Rs. 1.3 crore for failing to follow the RBI’s instructions regarding “Loans and Advances – Statutory and Other Restrictions” and “Guidelines on Management of Intra-Group Transactions and Exposures,” according to a statement.

Scores of Hindu saints on Monday staged a protest against DMK’s Udhayanidhi Stalin over the Sanatan Dharma row and burnt his effigies near Tamil Nadu Bhawan here. The Indian men’s 10m air rifle team shot down gold with a world record score on the second day of shooting competition at the Asian Games. The team of world champion Rudrankksh Patil, Olympian Divyansh Panwar and Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar aggregated 1893.7 in the qualification round to better the world record of 1893.3 set by the Chinese set less than a month back at the World Championships in Baku, Azerbaijan. Man and his two-year-old daughter killed in firing in Karachi

A man and his two-year-old daughter were killed in firing at Chamrha Chowrangi near Korangi in Pakistan’s Karachi, reports said. According to details, police officials said that Tahir along with her two-year-old daughter Anum was going on a motorcycle when they got injured in firing. Later, both father and daughter succumbed to injuries and were pronounced dead.
