AAP leader Sanjay Singh in remand till Oct 10

Sanjay Singh, the leader of the Aam Aadmi Party and a member of the Rajya Sabha, has been ordered detained till 10 October in connection with the now-discredited Delhi Excise Policy or Liquor Scam case by Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court. Sanjay Singh was detained by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Thursday after being questioned by ED officers at his Delhi home for a full day.

SBI boss Dinesh Khara gets extension

India has extended the tenure of the chairman of the State Bank of India (SBI) , the country’s largest lender, until August next year, two government sources said. Citigroup raises China’s 2023 economic growth forecast to 5%

Citigroup economists raised their forecast for China’s economic growth for the year to 5%, from 4.7%, citing stabilizing economic indicators and Beijing’s supportive policy measures of late. “The cyclical bottom is here, with all eyes on whether organic demand will pick up amid gathering policy momentum,” Citi economists led by Xiangrong Yu said in a note published on Wednesday.
