4 police officers injured in pro-Palestinian protests in UK; 29 protesters arrested

West Bengal to sell only green cracker

In view of the increasing air pollution, West Bengal has decided to sell only green crackers with QR codes this Diwali. Babla Roy, chairman of Sara Bangla, Aatishbaji Unnayan Samiti, told ANI, “We have set up four main markets in Kolkata, which are at Tala, Maidan, Behala and Kalikapur. A total of 44 shops will be set up in Tala, 32 in Maidan, 21 in Behala and 21 in Kalikapur, all of which are permitted to sell green crackers.” “Fire cracker market will open from November 6 to November 12, with hours ranging from 10 am to 10 pm,” he added. Delhi’s pollution level slips but continues to be in ‘Severe’ category

Another earthquake of 3.6 magnitude strikes Nepal

While Nepal is still grappling with the devastating earthquake that has resulted in over 157 fatalities, another earthquake, measuring 3.6 in magnitude, shook the Himalayan nation in the early hours of Sunday.
