VC Najma Akhtar announces medical college in Jamia Millia Islamia
The Jamia Millia Islamia has announced that the Central government has given them permission to start a medical college. Vice Chancellor Najma Akhtar made the announcement at the centenary year convocation ceremony of the university.

Flood alert for Delhi again
Yamuna water level has breached the danger mark following a surge in discharge from the Hathnikund Barrage into the river after heavy rainfall in parts of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh. Tamil Nadu couple hijacks tomato truck, arrested
A couple from Tamil Nadu has been arrested after they hijacked a truck laden with 2.5 tonnes of tomatoes. They had faked an accident about money extortion and later on hijacked the truck. The couple is said to be a part of a gang of highway robbers. (READ MORE)
Delhi Commission for Women visits Manipur
Swati Maliwal, the DCW chief has reached the Imphal airport ahead of her visit to strife-torn Manipur despite the alleged denial of permission by the state government. Swati had alleged earlier that the Manipur government had refused to let her visit the state to interact with survivors of sexual violence.
PM to inaugurate redeveloped ITPO complex likely on July 26
The redeveloped ITPO complex will host the G20 leaders’ meeting in September, sources said. The venue, which is also known as Pragati Maidan complex, is likely to be inaugurated on July 26 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Flood alert in Noida, 200 people evacuated
The Gautam Buddh Nagar administration has issued a flood warning for low-lying areas along the Hindon river as the water discharge in the river increased.around 200 people have been evacuated and shifted to shelter homes after the alert was raised.
Earthquake hits Afghanistan
Afghanistan was jolted by an earthquake of 4.6 magnitude, reports ANI. According to the National Center of Seismology, the epicenter of the quake was found at Latitude: 36.50 and Longitude: 71.02, respectively.
