A low-intensity blast occurred near the PVR multiplex in the Prashant Vihar area of Delhi’s Rohini on Thursday morning, injuring the driver of a nearby three-wheeler. The blast, which took place at around 11:48 AM, prompted immediate response from multiple teams, including police, fire services, and bomb detection units.

The injured driver sustained minor injuries, and the area has been cordoned off as authorities investigate the incident.

Four fire tenders were sent to the spot following the call made to Delhi Fire Services.

While authorities are investigating, police sources told PTI that the blast resembles a similar incident from October 20, when a strong explosion occurred outside the CRPF school in Prashant Vihar.

However, this blast is said to be of much lower intensity and occurred near a sweet shop, making it unclear whether the two incidents are connected.

Senior police officials, including Additional Commissioner Rajeev Ranjan, have arrived at the site to oversee the situation.

The investigation in the matter is ongoing.
