Bihar assembly election 2025: The high voltage Bihar elections is just a phase away from conclusion, and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi is again banking on the “vote theft” allegations, especially after his recent unveiling of the ‘H-files’. A day before the first phase of polling, Rahul Gandhi dropped his much-talked about “Hydrogen bomb”, alleging mass rigging in the Haryana election results in 2024.

From 25 lakh fake votes to a Brazilian model’s photo on 22 voter ID cards – the Congress MP made huge allegations against the election commission in the press conference. And now, he is reaching out to the youngsters. Gen Zs have become an attraction point for employers, researchers and politicians as well. The Bihar elections are proof of how all the sides are trying to be the favourite of the new generation.

And he has promised to them that once the polls get over, he would come up with the proof that what allegedly happened in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Haryana – was repeated in Bihar as well.

“…We have a lot of material, we will continue this process. We will clearly show India’s GenZ and youth that Narendra Modi became the PM through ‘chunav chori’ and BJP indulges in ‘chunav chori’…” he told reporters on Friday.

Rahul Gandhi’s note to Gen Zs

On Thursday, the former Congress party chief wrote a long post on X, addressing it to the Gen Z and young voters of the country. He went on to attack the election commission, and named Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar, ECs Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Vivek Joshi specially – accusing them of the “murder of democracy”.

“Just yesterday, I proved with evidence how the government was stolen in Haryana through vote theft, and the will of an entire state was snatched away. A few days ago, in Bihar, I also undertook the ‘Voter Rights Journey’ to raise awareness among the public about the large-scale tampering of voter lists through SIR,” he said.

“Today, reports and videos pouring in from every corner of Bihar are further strengthening the chain of evidence of vote theft. Even before, the names of lakhs of voters had been removed from the lists; now, people are being prevented from voting at polling stations as well,” he added.

Gandhi alleged that several BJP workers, who have cast vote in other states, are voting in Bihar as well. “Remember, a government formed through vote theft never works in the interest of the youth, Gen Z, and the common people,” he stressed.

“And know this: the main culprits responsible for this murder of your democracy are: Gyanesh Kumar, Sukhbir Singh Sandhu, Vivek Joshi,” he further said, adding that the top officials of the ECI are playing the “biggest prank with the Constitution and democracy”.

The guardians have become partners in the “theft of your future”, Rahul Gandhi added.

‘Wholesale chori’: Rahul Gandhi ups the attack

The Congress MP is not stopping. The Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Haryana shared documents countering his allegations, hours after his press conference on November 5. Two days later, he said that the EC did not respond to any of his allegations.

He added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah are “attacking the Constitution together”.

“I gave a presentation that Haryana elections were not elections at all. A ‘wholesale chori’ occurred there. There was no response by the EC to the allegations levelled by me – fake vote, fake photograph. BJP is defending this but not negating what I said. Media is picking up small examples, like a Brazilian woman voted,” he said.

“How was voting done on the photo of a Brazilian national?…The reality is that Narendra Modi ji, Amit Shah ji and EC are attacking the Constitution together. The Constitution says ‘One man, one vote’. Haryana shows that there was no ‘One man, one vote’ there. It was ‘One man, multiple votes’…They are going to do the same in Bihar. It happened in MP, Chhattisgarh, Haryana and Gujarat…” he added.

The second phase of polling in Bihar will take place on Nov 11 across 122 constituencies and the results will be declared on Nov 14.
