Bihar elections 2025: In a flip-flop moment, Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor has now said he did not accept Rs 11 crore from a company in two hours. Last month, PK had shocked many when during his media address in Bihar, he said that engineering firm Navayuga Engineering gave him Rs 11 crore for just two hours of advice on a product.
“Took Rs 11 crore for two hours’ advice, this is the power of a boy from Bihar,” Prashant Kishor has said, while dismissing his rival’s charges that his party gets money from shell companies.

He had then also said that he raised funds for Jan Suraaj Party through professional fees, paid GST and income tax on it, and donated the amount to the party.
“In the last three years, I earned Rs 241 crore through advice that I gave to companies or individuals. Of this money, I paid Rs 30,98,68,764 in GST which was 18% of the income. I paid Rs 20 crore in income tax and donated Rs 98.95 crore to my Jan Suraaj Party,” he had said.
But now, he has denied the same.
Media manipulated statement: Prashant Kishor
During an interview, the political strategist-turned-politician categorically denied saying that he ever received Rs 11 crore for just two hours, and said it was media which has made a mountain out of a molehill.
“Navayuga Engineering made a product on mushroom’s fungicide which they believe is an anti-aging product. Someone told them that if they want to make it global, someone like Prashant Kishor could help them. Then, they met me,” Kishor told Newslaundry.
He added that he needed money for Jan Suraaj and the firm made an advance payment of Rs 11 crore. “The product has not been launched yet. I had told them that when the product gets launched, whatever role I need to play in its marketing and PR, I would do as per your wish,” he said.
When the interviewers stressed again on the “two hours” part, Kishor said, “You people (media) force (us) to make statements…I have not said anything on ‘money being given for two hours’. You can go back and see the remark,” the Jan Suraaj leader said.
