Bihar election 2025: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, who is also the CM face for Mahagathbandhan, will share the stage on October 29 as the bloc kicks off its election campaign in Bihar. Priyanka Gandhi, who was earlier expected to be present, will skip the poll rallies.

Ahead of the rally, the Mahagathbandhan will release its election manifesto on October 28, focusing on a “social justice” agenda while countering the NDA’s “jungle raj” narrative. The manifesto will combine Yadav’s key promises, including jobs and livelihoods for every household, with the Congress’s pledges, such as free electricity and subsidised gas cylinders.

Rahul Gandhi will hold two rallies in poll-bound Bihar – one in Sakra and the other in Darbhanga, reported Live Hindustan. As per a report by NDTV, senior Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge will also join the poll rallies.

The rally, aimed to amp up the campaign in Bihar, will be important amid the BJP’s allegations of no-show of Rahul Gandhi in Bihar, even as the election approaches.

Bihar will go to elections for all 243 seats in two phases – one on November 6 and the other on November 11. The counting of votes will take place on November 14. Mahagathbandhan came up with the seat-sharing plan recently, with the RJD has fielding 143 candidates, while the Congress is contesting 61 seats. The remaining seats are being shared among the CPI(ML), Mukesh Sahani’s VIP and other allies.
