Bihar Assembly Election 2025: The battle of Bihar is less than two months away and leaders have intensified campaigning, hoping to get the best possible outcome from the assembly elections. Campaigning for his party Jan Suraaj, political strategist-turned-politician Prashant Kishor targeted three big names in Bihar – Lalu Yadav, Tejashwi Yadav and Nitish Kumar – with just one sentence.
Addressing a public gathering in Bihar’s Jale, Kishor said that voters seem to have no worry about the future of their children. He said they must learn to care for their kids, the way former CM Lalu Prasad Yadav does.
“Be it Hindu or Muslim, you must worry about your children. If you want to understand that, learn from Lalu Ji. His son is not even 9th pass, but still Lalu Ji wants ‘ki Unka Beta Bihar Ka Raja Bane’,” Prashant Kishor said.

“You all should look at your children, they are matric, IA, BA pass, still can’t get a job of even a ‘Chaprasi’”. They go to appear in exams but the paper gets leaked, and when they protest, they get the beating of the police…” he added.
The leader said he did not mean to take a swipe at Lalu Yadav, adding that he wanted to tell people how good a father Lalu Yadav is. He said Lalu want to make his son who is not even 9th pass (a jibe at Tejashwi Yadav), the king of Bihar (Chief Minister).
And with the reference to exam leak and scuffle with the cops, Kishor took a veiled swipe at CM Nitish Kumar who has been facing heat on repeated leaks of papers and the behaviour of police thereafter against the protesting aspirants.
Prashant Kishor’s Bihar Badlaav Sabha
Addressing people during his Bihar Badlaav Sabha, Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor urged people not to vote on the basis of religion and caste.
“Leaders will come and give you money during elections. Do take that. I will tell you why. Over the past five years, were you asked for bribes to get your ration card, and land registration or not? They looted you for five years and now giving Rs 1500-2000, take it back, it is your money… For once vote for the better future of your children,” he added.

He said whether BPSC candidates or anyone else, everyone is upset. “Leaders sitting in government bungalows have allowed the police to misbehave with students and lathi-charge women and children,” he attacked CM Nitish without naming him.
‘NDA leaders even more corrupt than RJD’
Prashant Kishor has said that his party will not make alliance with any side and contest the upcoming Bihar elections on its own. During a rally on Saturday, he targeted both RJD and NDA for looting money from the house of people of Bihar. However, he stressed that leaders in the ruling NDA are “more corrupt” than those in RJD.
“..Money is being looted from every house in Bihar… RJD leaders are thieves, they are corrupt, but in some cases, NDA leaders are even more corrupt than RJD… When the people’s government is formed in Bihar, strict action will be taken against the corrupt leaders and officials of Bihar…” he said.
Prashant Kishor has not clarified whether he will fight the elections. The state is all set for high-intense electoral battle in November. While CM Nitish Kumar-led NDA has task of beating the opposition’s agenda to wrest power from them, the Tejashwi Yadav-Rahul Gandhi led mega opposition hopes to do wonders this time.
Jan Suraaj, a third front in Bihar, could pose a significant threat to both NDA and INDIA bloc as far as numbers are concerned.
