Patparganj Avadh Ojha Election Results 2025: In the high-stakes Delhi Assembly elections, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Ravinder Singh Negi is leading in the Patparganj constituency, securing 42,263 votes. His opponent, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate Avadh Ojha, is trailing by a significant margin of 15,616 votes, with 26,647 votes counted so far. Congress’ Anil Chaudhary is also in the fray but remains out of contention.

AAP candidate Avadh Ojha, contesting from the Patparganj seat, has acknowledged his defeat, stating, “This is my personal loss. I was unable to connect with the people… I will engage with them and contest the next election from this constituency.”

Ojha’s Debut in Electoral Politics
Avadh Ojha, a well-known civil services exam tutor, was one of AAP’s high-profile candidates for the 2025 elections. He replaced senior AAP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, who previously won the Patparganj seat in 2013, 2015, and 2020. However, with Sisodia being shifted to Jungpura, Ojha was given the party’s ticket for this crucial constituency.

Amid the intense political contest, a moment of sportsmanship was witnessed at the CWG Sports Complex counting centre when BJP’s Ravinder Singh Negi shook hands with AAP’s Avadh Ojha. Congress’ Anil Chaudhary was also present at the venue.

Voting for the Delhi Assembly elections took place on Wednesday, with exit polls predicting a strong win for the BJP. The party, which last ruled Delhi in 1998, is now looking to break AAP’s decade-long dominance in the National Capital. With early trends favouring the BJP, the final results will determine whether the party can reclaim power in Delhi after 26 years.
