A Delhi court has extended Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Sanjay Singh’s ED custody by three days till October 13 in the money laundering case related to the now scrapped Delhi liquor excise policy 2020-21.
Singh was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on October 4 and was sent to five-day ED custody on October 5.

Sanjay Singh was arrested by the ED after he was questioned for over 10 hours in connection with a money laundering case linked to the Delhi liquor policy. He was the third person from AAP to be arrested by the agency in over a year.
Manish Sisodia, the former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister, was arrested in connection with the liquor policy case and Satyendar Jain was arrested in a different case.

Singh is facing the ED heat over the charges of alleged kickbacks received during the formulation of the Delhi government’s excise policy for 2021-22.
