Quick commerce platform KiranaPro has announced the acquisition of Likeo, a startup specialising in augmented reality–based virtual try-on technology, in an all-stock deal valued at $1 million. The acquisition is aimed at integrating Likeo’s immersive trial room features into BLACK, KiranaPro’s fashion-focused platform targeting Gen Z consumers.
The feature, powered by Likeo’s technology, will begin rolling out in the coming weeks, initially offering early access to users shopping for fashion and accessories. The virtual trial room aims to improve online shopping experiences by enhancing product visualisation, increasing customer confidence, and reducing return rates. It also marks a broader effort by KiranaPro to expand its presence in personalised and interactive e-commerce.
As part of the acquisition, Likeo Founder and CEO Saurav Kumar will join KiranaPro’s leadership team to oversee AI and visual computing initiatives. “Joining KiranaPro to build for BLACK is an ideal alignment of vision and scale,” Kumar said. “Virtual try-on technology can significantly improve the confidence of online shoppers, and this partnership gives us the platform to reach a larger audience.”
Deepak Ravindran, Founder and CEO of KiranaPro, described the acquisition as part of the company’s strategy to “redefine how Gen Z discovers and shops online.” He added, “With Saurav joining our leadership, we’re investing further in AI and immersive tech to create more personal and frictionless shopping experiences.”
KiranaPro, which is fully integrated with the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC), provides quick commerce solutions with a focus on empowering local kirana stores. The company operates on a no-commission, ad-led revenue model and offers 10-minute delivery services.
Likeo, prior to the acquisition, operated as a Gen Z–Z-oriented lifestyle shopping app offering AI styling and ultra-fast deliveries, along with virtual fitting room solutions for fashion brands.
