Bengaluru-based fitness start-up ApClub has raised Rs 2 crore in its maiden pre-seed funding round, led by Curefit Healthcare Pvt. Ltd. The round also saw participation from start-up accelerator PedalStart, which came on board as a strategic investor, and angel investors including Pranay Jivrajka, founder and CEO of Allo Health and former CEO of Ola Foods.

ApClub plans to deploy the capital to build out its backend infrastructure, strengthen operations, hire across customer experience and training functions, and expand its offerings to include group classes, sports coaching, and wellness programs for adults and children.

Operational footprint in Bengaluru, expansion on the cards

The start-up currently operates in over 40 apartment complexes in Bengaluru, including Godrej United, Prestige Kew Gardens, Purva Skydale, and Brigade Lakefront, and claims to have served nearly 500 customers to date. It is also working on launching a mobile app in the second half of 2025 to enhance accessibility.

“In today’s fast-paced lifestyle in our cities, where both spouses are often working, balancing demanding careers with personal fitness and wellness goals becomes a major challenge, even for fitness-conscious individuals. After a hectic workday, people are often left with little or no time and energy to commute to pursue their fitness goals,” said Shalabh Malhotra, founder and CEO of ApClub. “We at ApClub successfully identified this gap, and are addressing it by providing convenient, personalised fitness solutions at people’s doorsteps – at their homes or within the housing complexes. The latest funding will empower us to significantly expand our services, strengthen offerings, and bring high-quality, structured training programs across Bengaluru and other cities, paving the way for a healthier India.”

Revenue target and strategic roadmap

ApClub is aiming to achieve an annual recurring revenue (ARR) of USD 1 million (approx. Rs 8 crore) by FY26. A significant portion of the funding will be used to scale backend operations and accelerate customer acquisition.

“With their emphasis on offline coaching and serving where the customer is i.e. at their homes/society – so that one doesn’t need to step out of their homes and battle traffic, pollution etc. to reach a gym or coaching facility – ApClub has differentiated itself and showcased immense potential to scale,” said Manas Pal and Adiya Darolia, co-founders of PedalStart. “Besides, we at PedalStart were equally impressed by Shalabh and his team’s domain know-how and conviction to revolutionise the country’s urban fitness services market. We look forward to continue helping them as they optimise and expand in the near future.”

Having been part of PedalStart’s cohort since its early stages, ApClub has received support in areas such as marketing and hiring. The strategic partnership with Curefit is also expected to open access to the latter’s network of instructors and wellness programs, along with cross-promotional opportunities aimed at accelerating growth.
