Shark Tank India, first aired on December 20, 2021, showed Indian viewers the global idea of entrepreneurs sharing their business plans with experienced investors, called “sharks,” to get money and help. The show became popular quickly due to its mix of new ideas, excitement, and real business lessons.  

The judges or sharks exuding confidence and guiding budding entrepreneurs on the path to profitability and sustainable growth with their sharp questions and insights certainly reflect years of experience and hard-earned lessons.  

However, running a business is not always simple. A look at the sharks’ own businesses shows the difficulties of entrepreneurship. While some make money, others face losses.
