The Naraina-Raja Garden carriageway of the Mayapuri flyover will be closed for repairs for the next 30 days, according to a police advisory. The closure is effective immediately.
The public works department has commenced repairs on the carriageway, which will remain inaccessible to commuters throughout the month. However, the other carriageway will continue to operate during this period.
Commuters travelling from Dhaula Kuan and Naraina towards Raja Garden are advised to use the service road from the flyover’s starting point. They should bypass the bridge and proceed through the Mayapuri Chowk traffic light.
The police have urged the public to cooperate by avoiding the affected road and making use of public transport where possible. They also recommended avoiding roadside parking, as it disrupts traffic flow.
“Plan your journey well in advance to reach hospitals, inter-state bus terminus, railway stations or the airport,” it added.
