BJP MP Ramveer Singh Bidhuri on Tuesday (October 1) said that traffic congestion on Mathura Road is expected to ease by the end of this year. The statement was made after Bidhuri conducted an inspection of ongoing development projects in south Delhi.

According to a statement from the MP’s office, the projects include the construction of a six-lane national highway costing Rs 6,500 crore.

Bidhuri, NHAI officials review progress

Bidhuri, along with officials from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), reviewed progress at Meethapur Chowk and the new bridges on the Agra and Gurugram canals.

He noted that once completed, these projects will alleviate congestion on Mathura Road and improve traffic flow along the canals.

Inspection at Molarband Extension

The MP also inspected the construction of a service lane and drainage system at Prasad Nagar in Molarband Extension, which is expected to ease traffic jams in the Badarpur area. Officials assured him that the work will be completed by the year’s end.

Bidhuri further directed officials to begin work on a proposed foot overbridge on the bypass from Molarband Extension to Sector 37, according to the statement.
