Several economic and infrastructure development schemes have been introduced in the poll-bound state of Bihar of late. The assembly elections are most likely to take place sometime in November. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday was in the state to address a public rally and also flag off four new Amrit Bharat trains in Motihari. In a pre-election boost, the PM also inaugurated development projects worth Rs 7,000 crore.
The four new Amrit Bharat trains will run between Rajendra Nagar Terminal (Patna) to New Delhi, Bapudham Motihari to Delhi (Anand Vihar Terminal), Darbhanga to Lucknow (Gomti Nagar) and Malda Town to Lucknow (Gomti Nagar) via Bhagalpur improving connectivity in the region.

Rajendra Nagar to New Delhi Amrit Bharat Express: Train number 22361/22362 Rajendra Nagar to New Delhi to Rajendra Nagar Amrit Bharat Express will run daily from July 31. The Rajendra Nagar (Patna) to New Delhi Amrit Bharat Express (22361) will depart daily at 7.45 pm and reach New Delhi at 1.10 pm the next day. New Delhi to Rajendranagar Amrit Bharat Express will depart from New Delhi at 7.10 pm and reach Rajendra Nagar at 11.45 am the next day.
Darbhanga to Gomtinagar Amrit Bharat Express: Train number 15561/15562 Darbhanga to Gomtinagar to Darbhanga Amrit Bharat Express will run once a week every Saturday starting July 26. The train will run once a week from Gomtinagar every Sunday. Darbhanga-Gomtinagar Amrit Bharat Express (15561) will depart at 3 pm and will reach Gomtinagar at 5.30 am the next day. Gomtinagar to Darbhanga Amrit Bharat Express (15562) will depart from Gomtinagar at 8.15 am and will reach Darbhanga at 12.40 am the next day.
Malda Town to Lucknow (Gomti Nagar) Amrit Bharat Express: Train number 13435/13436 Malda Town-Gomtinagar-Malda Town Amrit Bharat Express will start from July 24 and run every Thursday. Malda Town to Gomtinagar train (13435) will depart at 7.25 pm and reach Gomtinagar at 3.40 pm the next day. Bapudham Motihari to Delhi (Anand Vihar Terminal) Amrit Bharat Express: Train number 05599 Bapudham Motihari to Anand Vihar Inauguration Special was also flagged off by Modi.
