The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has introduced a new initiative that allows people to book Namo Bharat trains for private celebrations, pre-wedding shoots, media projects and other short events. The high-speed Namo Bharat system, known as one of India’s fastest, will now also serve as a premium venue for personal and creative activities.
Under this plan, individuals, wedding planners, photographers and media agencies can book Namo Bharat coaches, whether the train is parked or running. The corporation has also opened a mock-up coach at the Duhai Depot for shoots. This allows teams to create detailed setups without affecting regular train services.
Bookings start at Rs 5,000 per hour
Bookings start from Rs 5,000 per hour, offering exclusive access at a reasonable rate. Organisers will get an additional 30 minutes before and after the event for decoration, equipment setup and clean-up. Customisation is allowed but must follow safety rules.
Events can only be held between 6 am and 11 pm so that regular passengers are not disturbed. NCRTC has also shared separate rules for ads, documentaries, movies and commercial shoots. These rules explain safety measures, how to use the stations and how teams should coordinate.
Supervision by NCRTC staff and security
All activities inside trains or stations will be carried out under the supervision of NCRTC staff and security personnel to protect infrastructure and maintain protocol. The corporation said this initiative supports its broader policy of allowing short-term bookings of trains and stations for creative or commercial use.
The move is expected to attract people from the Delhi–Meerut corridor, especially with stations located at key points such as Anand Vihar, Ghaziabad and Meerut South. The modern design of Namo Bharat stations and trains is likely to make them a popular backdrop for pre-wedding shoots, birthday events and professional video productions.
